You're A Star

Happy Thursday!

How is your day?  Mine...eh..same old, same old.   ha ha...

But in the midst of the all the excitement (*wink, wink*), I wanted to share with you a creation inspired by the current Lawnscaping Challenge.

I LOVE how this turned out.  I don't typically play with ink.  I am more of a CAS kinda gal.  But if ALL my creations turn out like this one, I just might evolve.  *smile*

My card idea started this weekend amidst all the beautiful weather.  While the kids were outside playing, I stamped a whole lot of images on watercolor paper and played with my Zig Clean Color brushes.   I liked how the jellyfish and starfish turned out...so I thought why not use them on a card.

I also had a negative panel from a previous die cut sitting on my table...so I used it as the front panel.

I inked the background and front panel with Salty Ocean, Abandoned Coral, and Peacock Feathers distress inks.  I made the inside circle a bit deeper to help focus the attention on the little critters.  After inking the panels, I used my distress sprayer for some water drops and mopped them up with a paper towel.

The bubbles were stamped (to represent the lines in the sketch) with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ultra White Wow embossing powder...and then accented with glossy accents.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

The front panel and critters were popped up on foam tape for some interest.

I had a couple of critters left so I adhered them flat to the inside of the card.   I left the inside blank so I can personalize it for the recipient.
