Merry & Bright

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D Christmas gift box or bag.

I used this cutting file to create my pretty present.  The papers are from a Teresa Collins paper collection.

I used Cardz TV stamp sets, Big Holiday Wishes & Naughty or Nice, for the tag.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossing with gold embossing powder.  The snowflakes were also stamped in Versamark for a tone-on-tone look.

2106..in Gold

Happy Thursday.

It's my day over on Miss Kate Cuttables' blog

It's almost Christmas...which means a new year..a new beginning...time for resolutions to make the coming year something great.

That was the inspiration for my card....

Don't you just LOVE it?!?!?!  Eek!  I am so excited over how well it turned out.

I used Cricut Design Space to create the focal image with Miss Kate's files, New Year Numbers & Happy New Year Title.

I was able to flatten out the grouping of items that I selected to be able to print them.  I printed it on a laser printer and ran the panel through a laminator with gold Ranger foil paper.

I cut the panel with a MFT's Jumbo Fishtail Banner die and trimmed out a layer from MFT Gold Shine Foil cardstock.  I used Versamark and MFT's Diagonal Stripes Stencil to gold emboss the card base.  The front panel was adhered with foam tape, and embellished with Pretty Pink Posh gold sequins.

Warm Hugs with MFT

Happy Wednesday!

We had a dusting of snow this morning...which makes me want to craft and drink coffee all day long.  Too bad I have to clean and feed the kids.  *laughing*

Before we head out for errands, I wanted to share a card for the current MFT color challenge.

The colors of the challenge inspired my water colored panel.  I used MFT dye inks and my Ranger craft mat to create a watercolor piece.

I used a set of MFT dies for the mittens and hat.  They were white heat embossed with MFT's Diamonds & Dots Borders stamp.  The balls were highlighted with Ice Stickles.  A few sparkling clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins rounded out the card.

Good Tidings with WPlus9

Happy Sunday!

It's been a beautiful weekend.  We cut our Christmas tree down yesterday from Harmony Hills Evergreens.  It is so big and lovely.  The kids will decorate it in a bit.  Such fun!

Before all the festivities begin, I wanted to share a card inspired by the WPlus9 TBT challenge.  The challenge features WPlus9's Iconic Christmas stamp set.

I bought this stamp set over the summer.  I fell in love with it when I saw it, and I knew I had to have it.

My card was mostly inspired by this card by Maureen.

I love the all the white with the pop of color in the frame.  I typically stay away from white...well because...I'm a messy crafter.  Somehow I get ink somewhere on my hand that is in the perfect spot to transfer to anything white I'm working on.

For the frame, I used MFT's Pierced Rectangle dies (since I don't have any from WPlus9) and WPlus9 white cardstock.

The tree was stamped in Last Leaf dye ink.  The stars were stamped in Old Gold dye ink.  The wreath was stamped in Mojito and Gala Red dye inks.

The sentiment was stamped in Cupid's Bow pigment ink and clear heat embossed.

I stamped over the stars with Versamark ink and clear heat embossed them also.

To add to the scene, I heat embossed the snow flakes with Wow Silver Pearl embossing powder.

To add a bit more visual interest, I stamped the frame with White pigment ink and an Impression Obsession background stamp.

Christmas Tag

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D Christmas tag.

I used a Silhouette file to create my tag and snowman.  I stamped the tag with the Cardz TV Naughty or Nice stamp set on both sides.

The snowflakes were heat embossed with Wow Silver Pearl embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed.

I added an eyelet and some Christmas ribbon to finish off the tag.

Happy Elf-mas

Happy Thursday!

It's a busy day here...finally stopped raining, the sun is shining, and a snow storm is on the way.   Let it snow!!   But that means that last minute things around the house need to be completed in the next 24-36 hours.

Before I get going on the house and yard, I wanted to share a Christmas card inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and their spotlight on My Favorite Things products.

Isn't the elf the cutest?  I love this set from My Favorite Things.    I stamped the elf on Neenah Solar White with Desert Sand ink, and colored him in with Copics.

His package was accented with a gold gel pen and his hat with clear Wink of Stella.

The front panel was created by stamping the present (from the stamp set) in Versamark ink on a sheet of American Crafts paper.  I heat embossed with Stampendous Stamp N' Bond, and sprinkled with Stickles dry glitter.

Rawr!!!....for a great cause

Happy Wednesday!

It's late here and before I settle down for the day, I wanted to share a card made for a wonderful cause.

I made this card for the #sharehandmadekindess challenge by Jennifer McGuire.  This week's challenge is all about children.  Jennifer also is collecting cards for two beautiful, young people. (You can find more details here.)  This card was created with one of those children in mind.

As I know many of us have this same problem, I do not have too many boy-ish stamp sets.   But the Monster Party stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs was perfect to use.  I paired the stamp set with the Bo Bunny Lil Monster paper pad.  Don't you just love those little monsters peeking out around the focal panel?

The layout for my card is from MFT's sketch challenge.

I used MFT's Cross Stitched Rectangle Die-namics for the panel.  The image and sentiment were stamped in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

The monster and sentiment was colored with Copics.  I masked the monster and added Tumbled Glass distress ink with an inking tool.  The horns, eyes, teeth, and toes of the monster and part of the sentiment was highlighted with glossy accents.

A piece of glittered washy tape cut in a double fishtail banner for accent.

Another cross stitched rectangle panel was added to the inside with a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Monster Mash stamp set, and another monster stamped in Grout Grey ink.

Oh Christmas Tree

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to share a card I made yesterday (while processing the Paris attacks).

My card was inspired by the current My Favorite Things Color & Sketch challenges.

I used MFT's Stitched Rectangle Frames for the border.  I used my paper trimmer and cut the card stock in different strips.

I stamped the tree in Factory Green ink.  The star and tree stand were stamped in gold pigment ink and clear heat embossed.

I stamped the Cherry Crisp card stock with MFT's Diamonds and Dot Borders stamp set and Cherry Crisp dye ink.

The sentiment was stamped in Steel Grey dye ink.

The inside was stamped with a second generation impression of the tree.

Thanks......

Happy Friday 13th!   And it is a good Friday indeed here at Graham Manor.  There is a bit of snow in the air...I have the diffusers in the house working....And a new whole house humidifier is to be delivered today.   Geeh, what is a Momma to do?  *smiling*   Nothing makes me happier than taking care of the ones I love.

No matter how much I love them, I stress relieve by crafting.  And that is what I did yesterday.  I had an idea come to mind..and I had to see it come to life.

What do you think?

Eek!  I just love it!  To me, this card shows how creative I can get and how outside my typical zone I can go.

My card layout was inspired by the WPlus9's Sketch challenge.
The circles and scallop line inspired movement to me.... And I had the Simon Says Stamps Monday and Wednesday challenges on the brain too.  So leaves and thanks (inspired by the word November) and Thinking of You (inspiring the purpose of the card and inside touches).

The panel was created using ALL WPlus9 products.  Have I told you that WPlus9 is one of my favorites?

I started with a 4.25 x 5.5 panel of Dove Grey card stock.  I used Warm Wool ink and Autumn Leaves stamp set.  I used second and third generation stamping to create the background.  The stamping was inspired by the two colors on the panel in the sketch.  The stamping at the top is a bit lighter and less crisp than the stamping on the bottom.

I stamped the letters and 'swirls' from the Happy Mail stamp set in Silver Lining ink.

I added clear Wink of Stella to the leaves.

To round out the front, I stamped some dots and clusters in all the inks from the Fresh Cut Florals stamp set.

I finished the inside with a sentiment from Hand Lettered Thanks and a cut from the Gift Card Layers Die.

Gobble, Gobble, Gobble.......

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D Thanksgiving card.

I created a pop-up card.  I used the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge for the card base.  The outside layer of the base was cut from Bo Bunny Apple Cider card stock.  The inside layer was cut with PTI Fine Linen card stock and stenciled with a dot stencil.

The turkey is from the Create-A-Critter 2 Cricut cartridge.  He was all cut from MFT card stock.  I added Wink of Stella to his hat and wings.

The sentiments are from Cardz TV Thankful for You stamp set.

Harvest Blessings

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to share a cute little card I make for a special someone.

I used the current MFT Card Sketch for inspiration of the layout.

All the images are from MFT's Harvest Mouse stamp set.  I colored the images in with Prismacolor pencils.

I cut the panel with Blueprints 21.

I will be entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

The inspiration for my card was the current Lawnscaping Challenge and this card.

I made my card with one specific person in mind...so I used the colors blue and white.

I used WPlus9 White and Nautical Navy card stock.  It cut beautifully in my Silhouette Cameo.
I dry embossed the white mat with a Paper Studio folder.

The sentiment from Lawn Fawn was stamped with Versamark Black Onyx and clear heat embossed.

The butterflies were accented with rhinestones from Miriam's Crafting Supplies and clear Wink of Stella.

I am also entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp So Glossy Monday Challenge.
