My holiday season has been crazy.  We have lots of family coming to visit, including our new granddaughter.  So the last few weeks have checking items of the longest to do list in history.

Part of that to do list is getting the hurricane clean up finished and my ruined craft room relocated and functional.  So let's just say..that is a low item on the list.  *sigh*

But I did get a few hours in the craft room for my project.

For my card, I used Color of Love's Christmas Night.

Due to my craft room still being in progress, I chose to use a digital coloring medium rather than my Copic Markers.

First, I must apologize for my lateness in posting my creation for the challenge.  My family and I were impacted by Hurricane Ian and then again by Hurricane Nicole.  Although I feel fortunate to be less impacted by these storms than some, this has been a learning experience.  The time involved...the grief and overwhelming impact to our daily lives is something I must take on a day by day basis.  Thank you for stopping by my blog.  *hugs*

My project is fun and needed.  ;)  I used Dr. Digi's House of Stamps Free Toilet Paper Digi .  With everything going on lately, I felt that this card would get some use.  *wink, wink*

I used the digi and multiplied it in rotating directions to create my card base.  The card base was printed on MFT Khaki card stock.

The digital was used a stand alone to help create the focal greeting.  Since I am not a great graphic artist, I used my Silhouette Studio Software to create it.

The inside of the card is simple....just a continuation of the front greeting...to finish the thought..and to tie in the toilet paper image.  *laughs at self*

Thank you again for stopping by and good luck on your entry!

For my project, I used Fred, She Said's Leaves Cutfile & Stencil.  The inspiration for my card can be found here.

I created a panel with my Silhouette in the same cardstock as the base card I created.

I adhered the panel (minute the cutouts) for a my card base.  I added some leaves colored with distress inks and gold pen, to layered gold and brown flags, and green twine.

I left the inside of the card simply, with just hello stamped in SSS Intense black ink.

I had quite a bit of fun creating my card for the challenge.  I used Colour of Love's Sandy Boo - Collecting Seashells image.

I uploaded the image to my iPad and colored it digitally.  It's been crazy around my house and the only way I get to color is digitally.  I have to be on the move all the time with doctor appointment for the hubby and kids.

After I finished coloring the image...I had no idea what I wanted to do with it.  While looking for inspiration, I came across Patty Stamps and this blog post.  And voila...an idea was born.  I used Silhouette Studio to design the card and all the layers.

Here is a view from the top of the card, to show all the panels.

The title is from Miss Kate Cuttables Playing in Sand file, and the seashells are from Miss Kate Cuttables Seashells file.    I printed them both out and popped them up on foam squares.

I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pe to the seashells, along with the hat and swimsuit on the image.

The image was layered on black cardstock to make it pop.

The front and inside panel were both created from Simon Says Stamps fog cardstock.  And stamped with a linen background stamp in Fog ink for a tone on tone look.

Thanks for popping by.

Happy Crafting!

Christmas in July

  Happy Wednesday!

We've got another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner.  Our theme this month is

Christmas in July.

Beccy's Place is our sponsor.

Prize ~  $10 Gift Certificate

These last few months for me has been a bit crazy.  My husband is having more health problems and is scheduled for surgery this week.  Which means I haven't been in my craft room near enough.  For me and my challenge project, I had to take a different path of creation.   I find the tangible part of the creative process therapeutic.   And right now, I need that more than anything.  But I do not have the time to sit and play with paper and crafting supplies.

Normally, I would color images with Copics.  But being in and out of doctors' offices and driving 2.5 hours, one way, for appointments, I can't focus on that type of coloring.  So I uploaded Beccy's Nutcracker image on my iPad and used Procreate to color it while sitting different places.

Once I colored the image to my liking, I exported it to my computer.  I used my Silhouette Software to create the card.

I printed the cards, two per sheet, onto PTI Stampers Select cardstock.

The cards are one layer, so I added Stickles to part of the image to give it a bit of interest.

I added the sentiment from the digital stamp set and the nutcracker, in a more transparent print, to the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Be sure to join us for the challenge.

For my project, I created a card for my son.  He is a huge donut lover! One of his favorites is a sprinkled strawberry donut from Krispy Kreme.

I used my Silhouette software and Dr. Digi's Coffee Time.  I took the the two donuts and created a background panel for the card front.

Once printed and cut the panel with my Cameo.  Then I used a Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangle die and Distress Tea Dye ink to give it a finished look.

I cut a larger donut twice, glued them together to give the shape more strength/thickness.  Then I popped it up on foam squares, and tucked it just behind a banner.

For the inside of the card, I added two donuts to a rectangle and cut it with the same die as the front panel.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp - Sentiments for You, stamped in Versamark Onyx Black ink.

Be sure to head over to the Crafty Gals blog and link your creation.

Good Luck!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge

 Happy Wednesday!

It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner blog.   Our theme this month is Buttons and/or Bows.

And our wonderful sponsor is MoonFlower Digistamps

Prize ~ $10 Gift Certificate

I used MoonFlower digistamps' Gigi Little Mermaid Gigi for my card today.

I printed the image onto drawing cardstock.  I colored her in with Prisamcolor pencils.  After trimming the panel down, I inked the edges with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide.  The panel is layered on dark purple cardstock, then onto a grey card base.

For the button, I added a Gina K Designs button from my stash to the flower in her hair.  I also added Stickles to the bubbles.

I printed the image, a bit smaller, on an aqua card panel.  I stamped a sentiment from CardzTV Summer Fun stamp set in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To coordinate with the front image, I added Stickles to the bubbles again.

Be sure to link your creations up, but there are a few simple rules you must follow:
1. You may only submit THREE projects per challenge.
2. Your project must be NEW - no back linking allowed.
3. You must link DIRECTLY to your blog post, not just your blog.
4. You must link back to our challenge on your blog post.

Spring - Crafty Gals Corner Challenge

 Happy Wednesday!

Today starts a new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner.    This month's theme is Spring/Easter.

We are so thankful for our sponsors.....

Prize ~ £8.50 Gift Certificate

......................................................

Prize ~ 3 Digital Stamps
............................................................

For the challenge, I created a card....isn't it cute?

I used Paper Shelter's Spring Elves file.  I planned my project in my Silhouette software.  I created a print n cut for the image, flower heads, and sentiment.   I printed the images on Gina K's Luxury White cardstock.  I love how vibrant the colors are on this cardstock.  The sentiment was colored with Copies R02, R11 and R14.

I layered the images on Bazzil Icy Mint cardstock, that I lightly inked the edges of with Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass ink.  Then, I used a few grey Copics to ground the image a bit.

I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the flowers, and some white signo gel pen to the pink flowers and the wheelbarrow for some added interest.

I couldn't leave the image flat...so I popped the flowers up on foam squares.

I finished the inside of the card with a few more flowers, with glitter pen, to match the front.
