A Halloween Hello...MFT style

Happy Thursday!

Here's a card I created for the MFT Sketch challenge.

I created the image panel with Strathmore watercolor paper, MFT's Witch Way is the Candy stamp set, Ranger Archival Ink, and Peerless Watercolors.

I cut the panel out with  Pierced Rectangle Frames.  I also cut three more frames, two out of Neenah Solar White and one out of a halloween mat stack in my cupboard.

I added Wink of Stella to the pumpkins, witch's clothing, and the moon.   I added some glossy accents to the moon also.

To finish the inside of the card, I stamped the witch again in MFT Grout Grey Dye ink and the sentiment in MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

Le Meow-loween

Happy Fall!!

I created a card inspired by Newton's Nook Challenge.  I recently purchased my first two Newton stamp sets and thought I would try out a few techniques while inspired by the challenge.

My card.......

I do not have a Halloween set from Newton's Nook.  So I transformed the Newton Dreams of Paris.  I used my MISTI stamping took and masked off a hat area (for a draw hat) for Newton and then stamped him and the Eiffel Tower.  Once the stamping was done, I masked off a moon and the images, and colored the panel with my Copics and airbrushing system.

When the sky and ground were done, I removed the masks from the moon and Eiffel Tower and lightly coated them in color.

Newton was hand colored with Copics.  I added some white gel pen and clear Wink of Stella to Newton's Hat and black areas of his outfit.

The panel was cut with a Simon Says Stamp rectangle die and matted with Neenah Solar White card stock.  The card base is from Papertrey Ink True Black card stock.

The sentiment was created by combining the Newton Nook's Le Meow with MFT's A Halloween Hello sentiment.  It was stamped in Versfine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed.

I stamped the stars from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set in Versamark frost ink and heat embossed some clear sparkling embossing powder.

I added some die cut pumpkins to give the card a bit of dimension.

Hello Card Set

Happy Monday!

I wanted to share with you today a set of cards inspired by MFT's Sketch and Color Challenges.

The colors and the sketch both lended towards creating multiple cards...so I took advantage of it.  ;-)

All card stock used is MFT's in the colors specified in the challenge.  I used the sketch and my Silhouette Cameo to create the base of the card.  Then interchanged the colors and pieces to create four cards.  Each card was stamped with a different element from MFT's Primitive Pumpkin stamp set, with Versamark Frost ink.
The sentiment is from MFT's You Gnome Me stamp set.

Cardz TV 3D Challenge

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D Fall Card.

I made a spinner card.  I have never made one before...so why not, right?

I used a print n cut Miss Kate Cuttables scarecrow and my Silhouette Cameo.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV Cardz TV Thankful for You stamp set.

I positioned another sentiment on the inside so that the scarecrow covered it when closed.  And since I used a dark paper, I heat embossed the sentiment in Simon Says Stamp Detailed White embossing powder.  I used the Happy Fall Y'all sentiment is also from Cardz TV Thankful for You stamp set...but I masked off y'all.

Zombies!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing with you my Action Wobbles Design Team project.

Fall is my favorite time of year...so why not make another Halloween card?

The zombie is a cut file from Miss Kate (you can find it here).  She was cut from MFT card stock (works beautifully with the Cameo).   added polka dots to her dress/bow, stripes to her socks, and clear Wink of Stella & glossy accents to her eyes.

I popped her head on an action wobble for fun.

       (wobble in action)

The background is a stamp from Peachy Keen.  It was stamped on Graphic 45 paper with Simon Says Stamp slate ink.  For a bit of interest, I added some clear Wink of Stella to the trees.

The inside of the card is also decorated with Peachy Keen Stamps.

Pretty Pink Posh Inspiration

Happy Monday (again)!

I am SO EXCITED to share this card with you!

Don't you just LOVE it?!?!?!?!?   I love that cat!

I created this card inspired by the Pretty Pink Posh Guest Designer Search

I was inspired by Paulina's card.   I love the shaker and Christmas theme.
  inspiration

I just received my first few sets of Newton's Nook stamps...and I wanted to use the image with Santa's Sleigh silhouette.

I stamped the stars from the set in Versamark ink (and clear embossed) for a resist on Neenah card stock.  I masked Newton, house, Santa/sleigh, and moon before coloring the sky.  The night sky was created with Broken China, Stormy Sky, Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire distress inks.  The moon was created using Fossilized Amber distress ink.

Newton was colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  The house is just portioned on the stamp, so I took my Copic Multiliner and a T-ruler to finish the image.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and Pixscan mat to create the shaker window out of the moon in the image.  I filled the shaker with Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  The panel was adhered to two layers of fun foam and put onto a card base made from Papertrey Ink Stampers Select white cardstock.

Card Design Superstar Contest Creation

Happy Monday!

Today I wanted to share with you another card inspired by the MFT Card Design Superstar contest.

I used MFT's Tag Builder BlueprintsBlueprints 21Pierced Square StaxPrimitive PumpkinsMerry Messages, and Simply Circles Background.

The trees and stars were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

To add some interest to the white card stock, I stamped the background stamp with Versamark Frost ink.

Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Happy Friday!!

I have another card...yes another one.   HA HA...  I have been having so much fun creating lately that I just have to share it all.  :-)

If you have followed my blog for any length of time, you have probably come to realize that I am an organized scrapper.  So...I LOVE the sketch challenges over at MFT.

Here is the sketch for the current challenge.

And here is my card...

I used MFT's Stitched Square Frames to cut a panel from Neenah Solar White and MFT Kraft card stock.

I stamped the image from MFT's You Gnome Me stamp set and colored it in with Copics.  After I colored the image, I colored the rest of the panel with a warm grey Copic.  The image was masked and then stamped a background with MFT's Small Brick Background and MFT's Grout Gray Dye Ink.

For the sentiment, I cut a piece of Neenah card stock with MFT's Dimensional Banners.  I do not own a sentiment that would fit the card and the banner, so I used a Lawn Fawn Scripty sentiment.  Once the ink was dry, I wrote over the sentiment with a Copic Spica clear pen.

The flowers were highlighted with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen and glossy accents.

The inside of the card was finished with the inside panel cut from the Kraft card stock, and the Neenah frame colored with the Grout Gray Dye ink.

I Could Be a Card Design Superstar

Happy Thursday, again!!

(This is my second post today.  To view Miss Kate Cuttables Design project, please click HERE.)

Today I wanted to share with you one of my cards inspired by the MFT Card Design Superstar contest.

Isn't this card just lovely??

I used Emmitt's Alphabet and Dienamics Love with Sweet Tooth Card Stock.  Once ran through my die cut machine, I sponged Tickled Pink Dye, Cotton Candy Hybrid, and Wild Cherry Hybrid inks on over MFT's Bold Pasiley Stencil.  Then I cut the panel using Blueprints 22.   The panel was popped up with a lot of foam tape on a Red Hot card base.
