Thank You.........

Happy Memorial Day!

I wanted to pop on here before I cut grass and fire up the grill to show you a card I made in honor of all the fallen and their families.

I am amazed at how wonderful this card turned out.  I had this idea floating in my head for a few days, and wasn't sure if I could pull it off and give it justice.

I used a white card base made from Papertrey Ink Select White card stock.  I stamped the stripes with the Simon Says Stamp All Striped Up Stamp Set and Ranger Classic Cherry ink.

The blue panel was created using MFT Blueberry card stock, Blueprints 23, Ranger Blue Ribbon ink, and an Impression Obsession background stamp.

The stars were created using MFT Blueprints 18.  I adhered them with foam squares and accents with Sprinkles Sugar Stickles.

I stamped the inside with a sentiment from WPlus9.

I am entering this in MFT's Sketch Challenge 282.

"ANYTHING GOES" BLOG HOP

Welcome to the Cardz TV "ANYTHING GOES" BLOG HOP

It's graduation season..and my baby girl graduates high school next week.  I cannot believe that she is grown and on her way to college next fall.

So, like the proud momma I am, I had to make her a one of a kind graduation card.

I used my Cricut Explore to create a shaker card of the high school's mascot.  I just love how it turned out.

I cut the shape out of Lemon Drop card stock and Dill Pickle card stock, her school colors.

The sequins are from Doodlebug and Pretty Pink Posh.  The front sentiment is from Cardz TV Bigger Everday Sayings.  I adhered the panel to a white card base

The inside sentiment is from the Cardz TV It's All About You stamp set.

In case you get lost...here is the line up.

An Unbelievable Birthday

Happy Tuesday!

There are a lot of things to get done today...not that I want to do any of them...but what's a Mom/wife to do?  Do it, right?

Before I get going on that long to do list, I wanted to share a cute card with you.

This card was inspired by the MFT Color and Lawnscaping Challenges.

I created a card panel by blending Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, and Salty Ocean Distress Inks onto Canson watercolor paper.  Then I spritz with a distress sprayer to give a bit of texture.

I used MFT's Pierced Rectangle Frames so that I could pop up the 'outside' of the panel.

I stamped the sea creature onto the watercolor paper and used distress markers to paint him (or her).

I wanted to tuck the creature into panel, so I stamped the waves (included in the stamp set) on the panel with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white powder.  Then I hand cut above the image and popped the lower portion on foam tape.

The top panel was stamped with the stars from the set and clear heat embossed, then spritz with WPlus9 shimmer spray mist.

To finish of the card, I added a few drops from my stash.

Super Hero

Happy Monday!

I am about to settle in for the night, but first I wanted to share with you a card I created inspired by the MFT Sketch challenge.

If you are follower, you know that I LOVE structured challenges.  I guess that would be the OCD crazy in me.  *wink*

I used MFT's Star Celebration Stencil, Super Boy stamp set, Blueprints 22, Basic Stitched Lines Dienamics, and card stock.

I stamped the boy on Neenah card stock and colored with Copic markers.  The city landscape is from Avery Elle.  I added some glossy accents to the windows of the buildings for some interest.

I stamped the inside of the card with the boy again in blueberry ink for a tone-on-tone effects.  And stamped Happy Father's Day (from the Super Boy stamp set) and heat embossed in white embossing powder.

Be Yourself

Happy Thursday!

I posted some cards last week using a Miss Kate Cuttables' flower.  While creating those cards, I was playing around with the negative space as a stencil.  And what I came up with was a beautiful panel.

I used Bo Bunny's Glitter Paste in Sugar.

I sponged on MFT inks and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Water Colored Butterflies

Happy Wednesday!

I have been playing with water colors lately.  I have always been a Copic girl..but I want to master water coloring.  So, here are my latest creations.

Aren't they just lovely?  <3
I bought WPlus9's Flora and Fauna I stamp set a while back, but I couldn't figure out what to do with it.  So as we crafters do, I searched Pinterest for butterflies and water colors, and came across Dawn's video.

I stamped the images with Versafine onyx black ink on Strathmore watercolor paper.  Then I clear heat embossed them.  I used Zig Clean Color Brush Markers to add color to my images and background.

Once dry, I added some clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen to the butterflies.   Finished off with a few sequins with one card.

The other card was just perfect without any additional embellishments.

I am entering my cards into SimonSaysStamp.com Monday Challenge.

Thanks...with Newton's Nook Designs

Happy Wednesday!

Do you have any stamps that you just had to have, but have never seen ink?  I do!  HA HA

The Newton's Nook Design Pick-a-Pumpkin stamp set is just one of mine.  So, I took the latest Inky Paws Challege to challenge myself to use it.  And I did!  EEK!

The challenge is a sketch challenge.  And I must admit, I LOVE structured challenges.

Here is my take on the challenge....

I used a paper pad that my wonderful daughter bought me for my birthday to coordinate with the stamp set.  The panels were cut with Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangles.  The tags were cut with MFT's Blueprint Tag Builder die from Neenah card stock and glitter paper.  The pumpkin was stamped in WPlus9 Pumpkin Spice and Mojito inks.  Then colored with a clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush marker.

The twine tied at the top of the tags is from the packaging that Newton's Nook sends tied on your order.  Such a sweet touch!

I stamped the inside with another pumpkin from the set in Wplus9 Hayride and Beanstalk inks.

Miss Kate Cuttables Facebook Challenge

Happy Tuesday!!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Miss Kate's Facebook Group.

May's Challenge is "Mom."

The requirements for the challenge is to follow the theme of the month and use a Miss Kate Cuttables' file in your creation, including any/all freebies you have.

The challenge will run from the 2nd Tuesday through the 4th Tuesday of each month.  Winners will be announced, in the group, Friday of challenge end week.

Here's what I created...

I used Miss Kate's Sunshine file.  I LOVE this file.  It's so versatile.

I used my Cricut Explore and Design Space to create this card.

I added a lot of detail to give the card some more interest.

The butterflies' wings were stamped & glittered with pearls added for bodies.

The sentiment was created using a Miss Kate's Title file.

I added some diamond Stickles to the word Mother.  I think it turned out fabulous.

Poppies...for You

Hello, again!  *wink*

I have been on a crazy crafting craze.  And I'm loving it!

I was creating Mother's Day cards (as you saw in my last post) for daughter-in-laws (I have 3).  I didn't make any of the same...no mass producing.  I tried to tailor each card to every girl.

This card here was created using a MFT stencil and Shabby Shutters distress ink.  I adhered the panel onto a 4 bar note card, with a bit of patterned paper.

Stamped the poppies onto watercolor paper, heat embossed with white powder, and used distress markers to paint them' then fussy cut them out.   I adhered them flush to the card panel.

I added some black diamond Stickles  to the edge along with a few black Doodlebug sequins.

I am entering my card in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog.

Wishing you......

Happy Friday!

Before I start cleaning and getting the kids outside..(it's going to be 81 degrees here in Wisconsin!)...I wanted to share a card with you.

I created this card for my daughter-in-law for Mother's Day.

The flowers were stamped on Canson watercolor paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Using distress inks, the flowers, stems, and background were water colored.

Using the sketch from MFT, I cut the panel and used MFT's Pierced Rectangle Stax to cut a portion of the image to pop up.

I added a layer of craft foam to keep it solid for mailing.

The sentiment banner was cut using MFT's Blueprints 21 and stamped with a portion of a sentiment from the Harvest Mouse stamp set.

The panel was adhered to a piece of patterned paper, cut with the Blueprints 21, then adhered to a cream card base.

To finish of the card, I added some sparking clear sequins and clear Spectrum Noir glitter brush pen to the flowers.

Thank You with Flowers

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day to post over at the Miss Kate Cuttables' Blog.

I created a couple of thank you cards with Miss Kate's Flower Group SVG.

Instead of using the whole file...I only used the inside of the large flower to frame corner of the card panel.  I also only used the petals.  I think it looks stunning.

The card panel was inked lightly and then the flower petals were adhered.  The panels were stamped with sentiments from Cardz TV stamps, and adhered to a rose card base.

For even more, I covered all the petals with a Spectrum Noir Aqua Glitter Brush.

Don't for get to get the Freebie over at the store.

Happy Birthday from the Kraken

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!!

Before we start our day of consuming wonderful Mexican food and treats, I wanted to share a cute card with you.

I just LOVE this set from Lawn Fawn.  I haven't ink the Kraken up yet, so I thought why not now?  And why not add some presents?  *wink*  The presents are from the Year Five stamp set.

I colored the Kraken/presents with Copics.  The circle was cut with a Simon Says Stamp stitched circle die and stamped with a retired stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.

The banner was cut from MFT Blueprints 25.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

I am entering my card in to the current Lawnscaping Challenge.
