Happy Birthday with Cardz TV

Happy Friday!

Today is a new Sketch challenge over at Cardz TV.

The challenge is to create a birthday card with any Cardz TV sketch as your inspiration.

I was inspired by sketch 1.

What do you think?  I totally love it.

I love layers on cards, but I struggle with patterns and cohesion in my design....so I had to think outside of the box for this one a bit...

For my base layer, I silver heat embossed the edges of piece of card stock.

I used my Cricut Explore and a silver gel pen to create the 'layers' to anchor my images.

The sentiment from the Bigger Everyday Sayings was stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink and clear heat embossed.

The balloons were cut from the Cricut Celebrate with Flourish cartridge.  The image has a layer with a string, but I prefer to use twine or thread instead.
