Just Be Happy

Happy Friday!

Today is a new Sketch challenge over at Cardz TV.

The challenge is anything goes...

Please accept my apologies for my late post.  My husband received some medical news that I am still trying to process.  My heart is heavy and my mind is not settled.

Here is my creation for the challenge...

I used CardzTV Let's Face It and Mixed Messages stamp sets for this card.

I stamped the face images on a 4.25 x 5.5' piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock.  And I used MFT's blueprints to cut out the panel.

Hog Dog.....

Happy Friday!

Today is a new Sketch challenge over at Cardz TV.

The challenge is anything goes...but you know I LOVE Mary's sketches....

I was inspired by sketch 17.

First let me apologize for the lighting in the pictures.  I was trying to capture all the texture on the card.

I used CardzTV Lucky Dog Stamp set for this cute little card.

I stamped the images and used my Scan n Cut.   I then restamped with Versmark ink and heat embossed with clear powder, added glossy accents to the dog's nose and eyes.

Happy Birthday Layout

Happy Thursday!!

It's my day over at Miss Kate Cuttables Blog.

I made a layout for my daughter's lifebook.   She turned 11 this April and her birth mother was able to visit too.

You can find my inspiration here

I used  Christmas CountdownBannerBalloonsHappy Birthday,  and Birthday Girl files for my layout.

For the background, I used a piece of watercolor paper and sprayed it with WPlus9 color sprays (Bloomsberry, Sweet Gelato, Lake House, Sweet Nectar, and Shimmer Mist) and Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Gold).

For the papers I used a mix of Samantha Walker paper pad and 12x12 sheets for the patterns, and MFT natural brown cardstock for the photo frames.  I accented the shapes with Wink of Stella,  Stickles, and Glossy Accents.

For a bit of interest, I added foam tape to the balloons along with twine for the strings and banner.

The pieces of 'tape' were created using a straight cut and some shapped scissors.  Also, the photo frames were created by layering rectangles.

Note**
I don't add pictures to my layouts when posting online....mostly out of habit for her safety.  With that said..some of the frames are not fully tacted down so that I can insert photos easily.
