Thanks...For Everything

Happy Friday!

It's been a crazy day here.  The kids are loud and all over the place.  But I wouldn't have it any other way.  Makes for a happy household.  And we were able to meet our newest grandson this past weekend.  He is such a sweetie!  I could just eat him up.  And I was able to meet our In-Laws too.  They are just the best.

To express my gratitude for planning the weekend and all the time they took out of their schedules for us to meet Gabe, I wanted to send a Thank You card.

My inspiration for the card came from the colors in the current MFT color challenge.

I used MFT's Desert Bouquet stamp set.  The flowers were stamped in Blue Raspberry Hybrid ink, Tropical Teal Dye ink, Wild Wisteria Hybridy ink,  and the leaves were stamped in Spearmint Dye ink.

The sentiment is from MFT's Fall Foliage stamp set, stamped in Versamark Onyx Black ink.

I cut the focal panel with Blueprints 21 and the Blu Raspberry (Oops..could be SnoCone) panel with Blueprints 15.

I masked the bottom corner/sentiment with post it notes and spritz WPlus 9 Shimmer Spray on the panel.  Adds a nice touch.

A few matching flowers and leaves on the inside completes the card.

Woof You......

Happy Thursday!

It's a beautiful day here at Graham Manor.  It's been chilly enough the last few days that I had to turn the heat on.   But today..it's LOVELY!

So before I get going on housework (again)..I wanted to share a cute card inspired by the MFT Sketch Challenge.

As soon as I saw the sketch, I KNEW it had to be a shaker card!!   I had the Dienamics Stitched Square Frames in my stash...PERFECT!

I haven't used my Cricut in so long...and I thought I would pull it out of the cabinet.  This cute little dog paired perfect with the PI Woof You stamp set.

I filled the shaker with a combination of Simon Says Stamp Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Star Confetti.

Day of Fun

Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing with you are card inspired by MFT's Color Challenge.

To keep with the colors, I consulted my hex chart to pick the Copics to color the clown.

I stamped the background panel with MFT dye and hybrid inks (in the color pallet) and the Party Patterns stamp set.  The fishtail banner was cut using MFT dienamics and stamped with a background stamp.

Hello.......

Happy Wednesday!

It has been a great day here...around Graham Manor.  The rain has left, fall like weather has returned, the kids have had a good day, and I have been able to craft.   A good day indeed!

I wanted to share one of the cards I made today.

This card was inspired by MFT Stamps sketch challenge.

To add a bit of interest, I used MFT's Damask Background stamp and Whip Cream pigment ink.

From Our House to Yours

Happy Thursday!

I'm back with another card to share.  Boy, I've done that a lot this week, haven't I?

Since my husband got me the cabinets, and my craft area is a bit more organized...I have major mojo.   It's wonderful!

I received one of the newest Tim Holtz Christmas stamp sets, and I just had to play with it.

This card started out as just the background panel.  I was playing with the stamp set, distress inks, stencils, and Perfect Pearls Mist.

Then I saw the MFT Sketch Challenge and I knew what I wanted to do with it!  I used MFT's Circle Stax and Blueprints die to create the focal panel.

Hello....in Color

Happy Wednesday,

I wanted to share a quick card with you before I head out to do errands...my baby comes home today from her summer visit with family and friends.

The inspiration for this card came from the current MFT Color Challenge

And a technique I learned in an Online Card Class.

I used MFT card stock to create the card base and die cut Hello, and MFT inks to color the background.

Smile.....For You

Happy Tuesday!

Today I wanted to share a sweet card with you.  I have a bit of creativity and excitement in my world.  My husband bought some cabinets for me to put some of my crafty supplies in.  Eek!   You understand, don't you?   For the longest time, I've been occupying a corner of our formal dining room with containers of things stacked.  Now I actually have what resembles a crafty room.   Yay!!!

Ok...now to my card...

Isn't that the cutest card?!?!?!  I just love how it came together.

The inspiration for this card came from several places.   I don't typically combine challenges, but these fit so well together.  :-)

The layout of my card was inspired by MFT's Sketch.

The theme came from two challenges...

and MarkerPOP
MarkerPOP! Challenge #75: Back to School
(requirement - use any marker that they carry in the store)

My baby girl starts her Senior Year this fall.  So I thought I'd take these challenges and make her a first day of school card/greeting.   A bit of background...her high school is a few blocks from our grocery market and Starbucks, and every Monday (as a treat and reward) I would get her a coffee on our way in.

So the Lawn Fawn Love You A Latte stamp set (and coordinating dies) was perfect.  I cut my panel out of Lawn Fawn's Beachside paper pad and MFT's Zig-Zag Stitched Squares Stax

I stamped the cups on Distress Watercolor paper and colored them with my Distress Markers and an aquabrush.  After they dried, I added clear Wink of Stella and glossy accents (to the 'coffee')

This year my daughter will be driving herself to school *sniff*....so she'll be getting her own coffee.  I thought a gift card would be a great way to let her know to have a great first day.

So the inside has a slot created to place the gift card, and plenty of room for a personal message.

Sweet Dog Treats

Happy Monday!

There is a new monthly challenge over at Miss Kate Cuttables' Galleria.

This month's theme is 'Sweet Treats'- use ANY Miss Kate file (even a freebie).  The challenge runs through 8/24.   A random winner will receive a Miss Kate Cuttables' File (to be determined).

Anyone who has read my blog knows that we have two Treeing Walker Coonhound puppies...but what you don't know is our neighbor has to two Shih Tzu puppies.  They are SO cute!

So when I made our puppies some dog biscuits, I made some for the girls next door too.  :-)

I used two Miss Kate's files for my cute little tag.

Here are the two files I used.

(You can get today's freebie at the store HERE.)

And now my creation:

My inspiration for this card came from the Autumn 2013 CardMaker Magazine publication (card by Michelle Woerner).  As soon as I saw the file from Miss Kate...I knew it would be perfect.

I planned the project in my Silhouette software.  The white panel was splattered with Dylusions Sprays and Perfect Pearls Mist.

For the sentiment, I used Miss Kate's Marker Font.  Cut it in white and splattered it with Dylusions Spray.

The cutting file I used can be found HERE on the
Miss Kate Cuttables site.
