You Are Tea-rrific

Happy Friday!

I wanted to share another card with you a card I made for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog hop and MFT's Sketch Challenge.

For the layers, I used MFT's Pierced Rectangle Stax and Blueprints 25.  The flags were cut with MFT's Stitched Flags Stax.  All the papers are from Echo Park.

Tee cute chef and his tea cups are from a retired Peachy Keen Stamp set (but if you want a chef, MFT has a new one.)

The chef and teacups were colored with Copics, and adhered with foam tape.

The inside was stamped with a second generation image of the chef, with a sentiment from the same retired stamp set.

Newton and Coffee

Happy Saturday!

Are you excited about the first day of Spring?  I am!  BUT it's snowing today.  What a perfect day to stay inside, drink coffee, and craft, right?   *wink*

In the spirit of things, I wanted to share a coffee themed card I created inspired by the Spring Coffee Blog Hop and My Favorite Things challenges.

The Color Challenge has Daffodil listed..a nice warm yellow.  But I just wasn't feeling the yellow...needed to be a bit warmer for me.  I added some orange tones with the yellow, for Newton.

My interpretation of the sketch is a bit loose...but it works.     I took some of the smaller images and stamped them in MFT Sour Apple dye ink across the back of the panel, so that Newton (representing the circle) had a base to sit on.

I added clear Spectrum Noir Glitter brush to the coffee mugs, and the sleeve on Newton's cup.

I colored Newton and his cup in Copics (YR20, YR14, YR32, R20, E41, E43, G02, G07, G20, 0, C0, C2).

The twine is from when I ordered my stamps.  The packaging was wrapping in this wonderful orange and white twine.  Perfect addition don't you thing?   I also added a few enamel dots from my stash to help balance the image.  The card base is made with MFT Kraft card stock.  I don't have any Biscotti card stock (yet), so I made due with what I had on hand.

Since Newton is so cute (and cuddly), I'm also entering this card into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Easter Fun

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D treat box or bag for Easter.

I created treat boxes to send to our grandchildren.

I cut the boxes and tags with my Cricut Explore.

I stamped the tags with the CardzTV Easter Punnies Stamp set
along with a small rabbit from a retired Peachy Keen Stamps set.

Happy Easter Slider

Happy Tuesday!

I wanted to quickly share with you card I created inspired by a few challenges and a video.

Challenges:
MFT Sketch 271

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - A Bit O'Green
Markerpop Challenge #90: Easter

For the slider opening in the card, I used MFT's Gift Card Die-Namics.

The cloud was created using MFT's Stitched Speech Bubbles and MFT Smooth White Card stock.  Since I don't have a cloud die, I used the partial die cutting techinique to create my own.

I colored the cute duck and flowers (from a retired Peachy Keen Stamps set) with Copics.

Since I don't use pennies (since they are US Currency), I used a button from my stash,

Bunny Decor

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day to post on the Miss Kate Cuttables blog.

But first, did you know that Miss Kate offers a freebie every day??   That's right...every day!  And no special gimmics or catches...just go HERE and get yours.

And now my creation:
I created a cute Spring decoration.  (And it does look better in person..or I am just biased.)  I have had these wreaths in the cabinet for years.  Yes, years!  I am not the only one to hoard supplies, right?

I had loads of fun playing with my Copic airbrush..so I thought I'd use it for my bunny.

I took the SVG from the file and cut the pieces for the face, arms, and feet.  But instead of layering, I used them as stencils for my airbrush.  LOVE how soft the pieces look.
I added Wink of Stella to his cute nose.
All the pieces were attached using glue dots and foam tape (face pieces).

The cutting files I used can be found HERE on the Miss Kate Cuttables site.

Lawnscaping Splash of Color

Happy Tuesday!

It's a B-E-A-U-tiful day here in the Midwest.  I actually have the heat off and windows open in March.  *gasp*

Before I head out for some yard work while waiting on the plumber, I wanted to share a cute card I made inspired by the Lawnscaping Challenge.

Black and white with a splash of color #lawnscapingchallenge. Used Year Two Lawn Fawn stamp set.:

I used Lawn Fawn's Year Two stamp set and a piece of the bokeh paper from Lawn Fawn.

I LOVE how this little card turned out.  It's for a boy who will be 8 in a few months.

Going Green

Happy Monday!

Tomorrow is the second Tuesday of the month..and that can only mean one thing.......a new Facebook group challenge over at Miss Kate Cuttables' group

March's Challenge is "Green."

The requirements for the challenge is to follow the theme of the month and use a Miss Kate Cuttables' file in your creation, including any/all freebies you have.

........................................................................................

How many of you celebrate St. Patrick's Day?  My family is of Irish decent, so we try to incorporate some of Irish fun in our family traditions..beside the beer part.  Unless we're in Disney World...and well, Epcot is the BEST place to on St. Patrick's Day.  *wink*

For my challenge creation, I made a fun shaker card.

I used Miss Kate's Leprechaun file.  Didn't he turn out the cutest??

I manipulated the file in my Silhouette Software, so that I could create a cute shaker with the clover in his hat.  I also dropped some of they layers so that the card wasn't as thick as cardboard.

I added seed beads from Simon Says Stamps.

The background panel was cut with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle.  I love the finished look it gives.

All the card stocks I used are from My Favorite Things (Sour Apple, Green Field, Black Licorice, Gold Shine, Safety Orange) and Papertrey Ink (Vintage Cream). The face stamp and clover background stamp (now retired) is from Peachy Keen Stamps.

The inside sentiment is from Cardz TV stamps.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

We would love to have you join us over at the facebook group!  See you there.

Spring Decor

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D Spring Home Decor project.

I am a birdhouse nut!  So, I had to make a birdhouse for Spring.  And apparently, many of the Cardz TV 3D team has the same thought.  *wink*

I cut the birdhouse from the Silhouette Store.

The banner was hand cut and stamped with Versafine Black Onyx ink and the Cardz TV Think Spring.

Peeps...and I love them

Happy Wednesday!

I purchased my first Simon Says Stamp Card Kit!  Eek!   I'm not traditionally a card kit person, since I like to mix and match, and make my own patterned papers.  But I HAD to have the new stamp set, and it included a Distress Crayon..so why not, right?

And I wanted to play with the stamp set...as soon as it arrived at my door.  *wink*  And I had the MFT color challenge on the brain...so I combined the two.

These colors are PERFECT for a Spring card....

I started with making plaid papers with MFT dye inks (in the challenge colors) and the Simon Says Stamp Jumbo Stripes stamp set, and stamping the peeps in the same colors.

I just love how one paper has a feminine look and the other a masculine look.

So far I have only completed one card with the papers..but I see LOTS of peep cards in my future.

I cut the plaid paper with a Sugar Pea die set from the Stamp of Approval Young at Heart collection.  The frame was cut three times to give a bit of dimension.  I used MFT Primitive White card stock for the card base.
