Shake, Rattle, and Roll

Happy Friday!

It's time for a new 3-D challenge Cardz TV.

Our challenge is to create an embellished baby bag.

The inspiration for my card came from the Cardz TV Trick or Treat stamp set

I thought the Shake, Rattle, and Roll stamp was perfect to pair with the Lori Whitlock Shaker Rattle.

I cut the rattle and added Simon Says Stamp Shaker Shack Beads.  I stamped the sentiment from the negative space from the rattle cut.

I attached the rattle to a Jamie Cripps gift card bag.  I cut the gift bag with my Silhouette Cameo and Core'dinations patterned cardstock.

Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing with you my Action Wobbles Design Team project.

How cute is that bunny??

He is a file from Miss Kate Cuttables.  You can find him here.

I created this card with a Lori Whitlock cutting file and my Silhouette Cameo and Papertrey Ink cardstock.

To spruce the bunny up, I used a Peachy Keen Stamps face stamp, glossy accents (on his eyes), and a clear wink of stella brush pen for his ears, feet, and heart.

Lawnscaping Challenge #99 - Happy Hello

 Happy Sunday!

Today I'm sharing a card for the Lawnscaping Challenge #99.

I created this card with the Lawn Fawn Hello Baby Stamp set  and matching dies.

I just LOVE the duck from this set!!  He is the reason I ordered it.   Crazy, huh?

I colored the duck, clouds, and umbrella with Copics.  Then added some glossy accents to the umbrella to give it that rubber/waterproof look.  And to highlight the clouds, I added some clear wink of stella.  The raindrops and puddle were stamped with Hero Arts Shadow ink.  (The puddle was created using the lily pad stamp from the set.)

MFT Sketch Challenge #214

Happy Saturday!

Before I finish cleaning the house (so I can color my bum off), I wanted to share a card with you.

My card is inspired by the current MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge.

I used MFT Blueprints 15 for the patterned mat, and MFT's Stitched Fishtail Flags for the vellum banner.

The flower is a Lori Whitlock Silhouette File.  I added some clear wink of stella to it.

Have a great weekend!

To My Sweet Valentines

Happy Friday!

The new 3-D challenge for Cardz TV is live.

The challenge is to create a Valentine's treat box/bag.

I created a gable style box for my treats.  I cut the boxes out of double sided 12x12 sheets of Carta Bella cardstock.  For the heart window, a piece of transparency was adhered on the inside to hold all the goodies in.

I stamped the tags with MFT's black licorice hybrid ink, added an eyelet with my crop-a-dile, and threaded some pretty ribbon to attach them.

(Please excuse the second box.  I ran out of treats for the photos.)

Here are the stamp sets I used....

Miss Kate Cuttables DT Shaker Card

Happy Thursday!

It's my day over at Miss Kate Cuttables blog.

I created a shaker card, for my project, by modifying Miss Kate's Yummy Cupcake cutting file.

I used Simon Says Stamp beads to fill the shaker.  To give the appearance of frosting, liquid applique was added to the frame and heated.

Of course, I had to add wink of stella to the card front.

The sentiments, inside and out, are from the Birthday Essentials Stamp TV Kit.  I used my favorite black ink, MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid ink to stamp them.

A Super Valetine

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing with you my Action Wobbles Design Team project.

I created a non-traditional Valentine's Day card for my little boy.

Isn't that just the greatest boy card?  I LOVE it!

For the background, my idea was to create a comic book page.  But I just didn't like the die cut I created.  So I used the negative pieces on a charcoal card base.  To jazz it up a bit, clear Wink of Stella was added between all the shapes and to the words.

For the inside of the card, I used my pen adapter for the Silhouette Cameo and a red glitter gel pen.

RCS Winter's Tale Challenge

Happy Sunday!

Welcome to another challenge at Red Carpet Studio!

Today's challenge is inspired by the movie Winter's Tale.

Set in a mythic New York City and spanning more than a century, "Winter's Tale" is a story of miracles, crossed destinies, and the age-old battle between good and evil. (Official Movie Site)

THE CHALLENGE: Use some snowflakes and white paint.  Gesso or molding/modeling paste will also work just as long as its white.

.
This was a difficult challenge for me.  I had a severe mental block.  My ideas bounced from Disney's Frozen  (yes, I have an 8 year old daughter) to a Christmas card.  To get my project going in the right direction (which was finished), I started with the base and went from there.

Also, to get my mojo started and keep it going, I kept the current MFT Sketch Challenge in mind....

I used Bo Bunny's Altitude 6x6 paper pad for my base paper.  For the challenge requirement, I used the Simon Says Stamp falling snow stencil and embossing paste on the background.  Some glitter glue was added to some of the 'snow' for interest.  The embossing paste was added while the patterned cardstock sheet was full size (6x6).  I turned the pattern of 'snow' on it's side, so that as much of it would show as possible with the sketch.  Then cut it down to 4.25 x 5.5 inches for it on the cardbase.

I did not want the beautiful background covered up.  I cut a couple of layers from vellum cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo.  The vellum was layered with a grey piece of cardstock from the same Bo Bunny paper pad.  The pattern/color compliments the background paper, layout, and vellum.

I stamped snowflakes from the January Stamp TV Kit in Versmark on the top layer of vellum.  Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins were added to the center of the Versamark snowflakes and to the bottom right of the card.

I stamped another snowflake on the stitched circle (MFT Blueprints 15) with Hero Arts Pool Ink.  And before the ink was dry, I brushed some Ranger Perfect Pearl powered over it.  Then finished it with another sequin.

The inside of the card was completed by stamping more snowflakes in Soft Pool shadow ink and brush with Perfect Pearls.  The sentiment is from the Stamp TV kit, and was stamped using my go-to black ink.... MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid Ink
