Joy to the World

The challenge theme is Holiday.

I created a card using Miss Kate's Joy to the World Phrase.

This file is perfect for a card front.  And this file made these cards so simple to make.

I used m Silhouette Design Space to print 4 panels per 1 sheet of Neenah Solar White card stock.  I chose to mount them on MFT card stock.  Perfect match!

Miss Kate DT Post

Happy Thursday!

It's my day to post over at Miss Kate Cuttables' Blog.

I have created a few projects to showcase the great files.

My first project was for my daughter.  She asked for a shirt to match a pair of pants we had given her.  I used Miss Kate's Penguin file and glitter vinyl.

I used some leftover glasses from gift making to make myself a few things.  Mine aren't perfect by any means...but I love how they turned out.

My granddaughter needed a Santa cookie plate and I fell in love with a newly released file...match made.    I had so much fun I made 3.

The first one was made with gold and green vinyl for the letters and Santa, and the flourishes were etched.

The second plate was made using a vinyl stencil and acrylic paint for Santa and etching for the words and flourishes.

And the last plate was made completely out of vinyl.

The files I used are:

Pumpkins and Watercolor

The challenge theme is Pumpkins.

I created a card using Miss Kate's Ghost with Pumpkin file.

Don't you just love this card??   I do!

I used the pumpkin from the file and cut it out of watercolor card stock.  Then I used my Zig Clear Clean Brush markers to color them.

The panel was created using Ripe Persimmion, Spiced Marmalade, Dried Marigold, Twisted Citron, and Lucky Clover Distress Inks.  I inked the block up with the Distress Inks and spritz it with water, then 'stamped' the watercolor panel.   The twigs were stamped with Simon Says Stamps Cobblestone ink and Winnie and Walter's Hollies Festive Florals stamp set.

I attached the panel to a Dove Grey card base.

Santa Is Coming!

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day to post over at Miss Kate Cuttables' blog.

It has been a terrible year here at Graham Manor.  The year has just flown by and I have not had any time to enjoy it, the holidays, or even the change of seasons.  As you may know, my husband was diagnosed with Stage IVB Lymphoma.  And since his diagnosis, it has been one thing after another, from chemo to blood transfusions to infections.

But it is November, which means snow (here in the North) and the upcoming holiday season.  So I want to be sure not miss anything.  I LOVE snow..I love seeing the kids' faces at the first snow fall and the realization that Santa will be coming soon.

To help me get in the correct mindset, I created a few cards.

I used Miss Kate's Christmas House Border and Reindeer Pulling Santa.

I cut the files out of black card stock.

For something to anchor the images, I created a night scene on a white card base with my Copic airbrush system, Copic markers, and a circle mask (for the moon).

Each card's background varies.  While creating the bases, I experimented with the marker colors and intensity of the amount of color laid down.

Happy Halloween

The challenge theme is Black & Orange.

I created a card using Miss Kate's Halloween Window file.

I created a shaped card to show off the image.  The front panel has a combination of cut sections and written section.  I had a bit of trouble with my Silhouette cutting the smaller pieces without tearing the card stock.  So I used the sketch feature to fix that.  *wink, wink*.

I added some eyes to the bats and Black Diamond Stickles for the spider.

I hope my granddaughter loves this card as much as I do.

Happy Halloween T-Shirt

Happy Thursday!

Can you believe it's October already???   It has been so warm here that it just doesn't seem like it's that late in the year yet.

So to help get in the mood, I have been creating a few Halloween projects for the family.

One of my projects have been t-shirts for the kids.  Unfortunately, only one of the three wanted a Halloween theme.  *sigh*

For this shirt I used the Happy Halloween Title file from Miss Kate Cuttables.

The shirt is from Joann's.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut the vinyl.

For my first layered vinyl project ever, I love how this turned out.  And even more important, my daughter LOVES it too.

2017 Card Design Superstar Challenge

 Happy Thursday,

Have you participated in any of My Favorite Things challenges?  If not, you should!  They are fun and the products from MFT are just so cute.

There is a big challenge ending this evening.  Its the MFT  Card Design Superstar Challenge.   The challenge has 3 categories.

I am submitting my entries by the skin of my teeth.  Unfortunately, my husband is fighting Stage 4 Lymphoma and has to have several blood transfusions this week.  But he's doing better now.  :)

My first card is for the Clean & Simple Genius.    I'm sure my design isn't genius...have you seen any of the other entries.   They are just fabulous.  But we all have different styles and level of talent.  :)

I used the MFT BB Beast Friends stamp set, Merry Christmoose stamp set, Abstract Stencil, Wild Wisteria dye ink, Natural hybrid ink, and Smooth White Cardstock.

My next card is for the Coloring Virtuoso.

I used the Merry Christmoose stamp set for all the images.   The background was colored with Copics (all Toner).  I love the way the moose pops against the grey background.

My last card is for the Innovation Masters.
I used MFT BB Beast Friends and Toasting Greetings stamp sets along with MFT Pierced Frames and Gift Card Grooves.
I created the background with Distress Oxides.   My first time using them and they are awesome!  So smooth and easy to use.

Happy Fall!

Happy Thursday!

It's my day to post on Miss Kate Cuttables' Blog.

I created a set of fall cards.  I used the scarecrow from A Harvest of Memories file.

I created the scarecrow print and cut file with my Silhouette software.  After cutting them out, I distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

The papers for the card base are from Bo Bunny Autumn Song 6x6 paper pad.

I stamped the inside with CardzTV "Thankful for You" Stamp set and Versafine Sepia ink.

Call Mom

The challenge theme is School.

I created a card using Miss Kate's School Zone file and Handwriting Font.

The front panel of the card was created using Print and Cut with my Silhouette Cameo.

The card base was stamped with a MFT background stamp and WPlus 9 Fairy Dust ink.

I love this card.  My baby went off for her sophmore year of college end of August.  :)

Mini Album with Miss Kate Cuttable Die Cuts

Happy Monday!

Today the Miss Kate Cuttable design team is showcasing Paper Die Cuts.

I created a mini album with School Time and Kindergarten Paper Die Cuts, lunch bags, and Echo Park Teacher's Pet Paper Collection.  The paper collection matched the die cuts perfectly.

No automatic alt text available.

I embellished the glasses with glossy accents.  So cute!

Some of the die cuts were adhered as pockets, so that mementos can be tucked in.

All the stars through out the album were accented with Stardust Stickles.

Each year has a frame (open at the top) so that the school year picture can be added.

The pocket created by the bag has a photo mat tucked inside, with plenty of room to add other items from the year.

The paper for the back cover is perfect!  Little notes could be written...maybe some doodles added.   Endless decorating possibilities.

Cute Popsicles

The challenge theme is Summer Fun.

I created a card using Miss Kate's Cute Popsicles file.

 Aren't they the cutest???

I cut the popsicles out of Papertrey Ink card stock.  The faces are from Peach Keen Stamps.

The card base was splattered with Dilusions Ink and WPlus 9 Shimmer Spray.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV.

Jut a Note....

Happy Thursday!

It's my day to post on Miss Kate Cuttables' Blog.

I created a card with my granddaughter in mind.  She started Kindergarten this year..and you know Grandma will be sending her all kinds of packages.  :)

I created this card set using Miss Kate's Flying Unicorn and Rainbow Dots Paper files.

I used the Print and Cut feature on my Cameo for the Unicorn.  I used foam tape to mount her.

The Polka Paper of printed also..but..I only printed a border because I knew I was going to create a cloud background to anchor the unicorn..so to save ink, the center of the polka dot panel is white.  ;)

Stars & Stripes

The challenge theme is Red, White, & Blue.

Instead of using it as a title, I used parts of it and created a card.

I cut the pieces out with my Cameo 3 and MFT card stock.

It makes a statement, I think.

Hope this got your mojo going..and be sure to join us in the challenge.

Java Nice Day

Happy Friday!

It's time for a new challenge over at Cardz TV.

I created a card inspired by the holiday and my love for coffee.

I used Cardz TV Brew Ha Ha stamp set.

I tried to get a pic of the background..but it just seemed to not photograph well.  I sprayed the background with Perfect Pearls.

Thank You, Nurses!

Happy Thursday!

It's my day to post on Miss Kate Cuttable's blog.

I created Thank You cards for the nursing staff at our local hospital.

The first set of cards were created using Miss Kate's Gell Well Soon File and Lucky Font.

I used the files and my Silhouette Design software to create a printable a panel.   I printed two panels per sheet.  Then I used My Favorite Things Blueprints 22 to cut the panel and give a decorative detail to the edge.  A piece of dark brown foam was glue between the panel and the card base.

My second set of cards were created using MKC's Get Well Soon file and Thick Type Font.

I used the cross on the pill bottle to create the focal image.  I manipulated the image to get it to fit the front of the card the was I wanted, and cut it from MFT Electric Red card stock.  The font was written using the sketch function on the Cameo and white sketch pen.

These cards were inspired by the nurses that took care of my husband during a recent hospital stay.  They were wonderful!  We didn't receive a diagnosis until a few hours before he was released....not great news either.  But the staff was very sweet, and I'm grateful for their care and attention to my husband.

America the Beautiful

Happy Friday!

Today is a new Sketch challenge over at Cardz TV.

The challenge is anything goes...

Here is my creation for the challenge...

I used CardzTV Basic Border and Bigger Everday Sayings stamp sets.

I used the starts from the border set with Unicorn Pigment Ink.

The stripes were created using post it notes and an ink blending tool.  The stripes are perfectly parralel...but I am ok with that.  Gives me the notion that the 'flag' is flying in the breeze.

Image may contain: stripes
