Happy Birthday

Happy Thursday!

I am exciting to be sharing a card I made for my daugther's birthday.

I still cannot believe my baby girl turned 17!!!   Boy...where did the time go??

I LOVE how this card turned out!!!!   It was inspired by Kristina Werner's video.

I used WPlus9's Whole Lotta Happy Stamp set.

I used the balloon and Abandoned Coral, Ripe Persimission, Mustard Seed, Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Perserve distress inks for the background panel.  Once it was stamped, I ran it through my Fiskars Fuse and a Simons Says Stamp stitched rectangle.

I drew the balloons strings with a black multiliner.

For the focal sentiment, I stamped with Versamark ink on MFT vellum, and heat embossed with Ranger's Liquid Platinum.

I stamped two more balloons and added glossy accents to bring a little something to the front.

Flying High.....

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing with you my Action Wobbles Design Team project.

My project was inspired by the current Lawnscaping Challenge.

To get the correct proportions (and because I tend to interpet sketches very strictly), I imported the sketch into my Silhouette software, along with the kite file from Miss Kate Cuttables.  The papers and the kite were all cut from Samantha Walker's Summer Lovin' 6x6 paper pad.

I used Lawn Fawn's Hello Baby (cloud on green mat) and Scripty Sayings (sentiment).  I stamped the cloud in Versamark ink and highlighted with a Copic Spica clear glitter pen.  For the sentiment, I used Ranger's Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

The cardbase is PTI Whitecardstock, cut to 5.5 X 8.5", scored at 4.25".  Before I placed all the elements on the cardbase, I stamped it with Simon Says Stamps Fog Ink and polka dot background stamp.

The kite was put on an action wobble to mimic the wind, and the circle in the sketch.  :-)

Aloha......

It's time for another challenge at Red Carpet Studio.

Today's challenge is inspired by the movie Mall Cop 2.

After six years of keeping our malls safe, Paul Blart has earned a well-deserved vacation. He heads to Vegas with his teenage daughter before she heads off to college. But safety never takes a holiday and when duty calls, Blart answers.

THE CHALLENGE:
Because Paul Blart is taking on Art Thieves, let’s use sprays and any texture medium on our project.
(Please click HERE for our 2015 challenge guidelines)

My card......

I created a panel with texture paste, Dylusions spray, and a MFT stencil.

The image (a Karber Stamp in my stash) was colored with Copics.

A randomly selected participant will win a crafty prize from our sponsor!
This months generous prize sponsor is Lawn Fawn with a 6x6 paper pad & a stamp set of your choice!

Thank You

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a 3D project with flowers.

For my project, I created this adorable gable box.

I used Jamie Lane's file.  The box was cut with CTMH Daisy white cardstock and then stamped with My Favorite Things Damask background stamps and Lawn Fawn' Sunflower ink.

The flower base was cut from the same cardstock as the gable box, then colored with the  Lawn Fawn ink to match the box pattern, then highlighted with a clear Wink of Stella brush pen.

The sentiment was stamped with MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV Many Thanks set.

Hello

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today I am sharing with you my Action Wobbles Design Team project.

I used the new MFT's You Gnome Me stamp set and Simply Circles Background,    I used Pretty Pink Posh's Peak-a-boo die to frame the gnome.   So that the cardstock was doublesided, I stamped MFT's Spearmint cardstock with the Simple Circle background stamp and Spearmint dye ink before die cutting the panel.

The gnome was put on an action wobble.
(inside of card)

The cardbase is PTI Vintage Cream cardstock, cut to 4.25" X 11", scored at 5.5".  Before adhering the panel and gnome, I stamped the base with coordinating stamps from the gnome set with Hero Arts' Wet Cement shadow ink.

Sending a whole lotta...

Happy Monday!

A new challenge over at Miss Kate Cuttables Facebook group is live!

The theme is flowers.................use any MKC flower on your creation.

I created a card.............which is my favorite crafty thing to do.  :-)

The flowers for my card are from the Miss Kate Cuttables' Tropical Bliss file
Tropical Bliss SVG tropical svg vacation svg beach svg file flip flop svg file free svgs cute clipart

My inspiration for the card design is MFT's Sketch and Color Challenges

The flowers were cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and MFT cardstock (one of my favorite cardstocks to use with my electronic die cutting machines).

I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and Circle dies, with MFT Whip Cream & Sour Apple Cardstock to make the panel.

I added clear Wink of Stella to the flowers and the circle background.

The inside of the card was finished with the opposing cuts that were left after creating the front panel.  I

The sentiment is from WPlus9's Whole Lotta' Stamp set, and was stamped with MFT's Sour Apple Dye ink and MFT's Black Licorice Hybrid ink.

Happy Birthday Wishes

Happy Thursday!

It's my day on Miss Kate Cuttables blog.

What do you think of my card?  I showed it to my 16 (soon-to-be 17) year old daugther, and she LOVED it!

I cut the word happy from MKC's Happy Easter file.
I cut the word five times, glued them together with Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue.  Once the glue was dry, I added embossing ink and Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
The banners and balloons were cut from CTMH white cardstock.
The balloons were inked with distress ink, tied with twine, and popped up on foam squares.
To complete the inside of the card, I used the negative from the banner cut as a stencil.  I inked it with Natural Hybrid Ink and a sponge dauber.

The sentiments (front and inside) and the inside balloon are from WPlus9's Whole Lotta' Happy stamp set.

A bit of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins completed the card.

You......

Happy Easter!!

It's time for another Red Carpet Studio Challenge

Today's challenge is inspired by the movie FIELD OF DREAMS.

An Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the Chicago Black Sox come.

THE CHALLENGE: Create your own Field of Dreams. In other words, create a unique background for your project. Use stamps, ink, paint, pieces of paper, anything BUT a single piece of patterned paper or plain card stock.
(Please click HERE for our 2015 challenge guidelines)

.................................................................................................................................

My creation....................

I created a bokeh background for my card.   Bokeh is such a trend right now, I thought I'd try my hand at it.   Not too bad for my first try.  ;-)

I used My Favorite Things smooth white cardstock and dye inks (Razzle Berry, Spearment, Snow Cone, Pink Lemonade), Avery Elle white pigment ink, and sponge daubers to create the focal panel.

When it was dry, I spritzed it with Perfect Pearl Mist and added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

The sentiment is from WPlus9's Hand Lettered Thanks Stamp set.  I used my go to ink, My Favorite Things Black Licorice Hybrid ink to stamp it.

Think Spring

Happy Friday!

Today is a new 3D challenge over at Cardz TV.

The DT challenge is to create a home decor project for Spring.

I created a cute little door hanger.

The base of the banner was created using MFT's Banner dies and Neenah Solar White cardstock.

The elements (from the Lawn Fawn Gleeful Gardens Stamp set) were colored with Copics.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to a few of the elements.

The sentiment was stamped on an MFT banner with MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV Think Spring set.
