Watercolor Jewels

Happy Thursday!

Today is my day to post on the Miss Kate Cuttables blog.

First, don't forget to get today's at the store HERE.

And now my creation:
These cards are so outside my typical style...but I LOVE them.

I used Miss Kate Cuttables' file, my Cricut Explore, Peerless Watercolors, Ranger embossing powder, and Arches watercolor paper to create the front panels.

I first designed my card by importing the Miss Kate's Princess Jewels file into Cricut Design Space.

Once I had an idea of where the jewels would be placed, I cut a 9x12 sheet of Arches watercolor paper into 4 panels.  I used my Peerless Watercolors, Silver Brush #2 paint brush, and some clean water.

After they were dry, I placed the panels on a mat and run them through my Cricut.

After I cut the pieces, I embossed the outlines with Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
The pieces were all placed back into the panel, like a puzzle.

The panels were adhered to a Whip Cream card base.  Then some Pretty Pink Posh sequins to add some interest, but not to overshadow the watercolor panel.
These panels have a wonderful texture.  A bit rough, but soft at the same time.

I left the inside blank so that I can address them as I wish.
