MFT Camp Create - Foiling

Happy Tuesday!

I want to share a card with you that I created for the MFT Camp Create series.

This card is inspired by the Fantastic Foiling post.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this card came together.

The technique spotlighted is foiling.  I do not have a minc machine or toner sheets.  So I used an old fashioned way of foiling...double sided tape and die cuts.

I used an older MFT die set, Fall Foliage.  I cut the leaves out of Neenah card stock with double sided tape adhered to it.  To foil, I just burnished the silver DecoFoil to each leaf.

For the panel, I clear heat embossed a small stamp from the Fall Foliage Stamp set.on to a Neenah card panel  Then, I ink blended Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, Gathered Twigs, Frayed Burlap, and Fossiled Amber Distress Ink.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

After the panel dried, I adhered the foiled leaves to the corners.  I used MFT Blueprints 21 to size the panel to my card front.  When I die cut the panel, I had an unexpected result.  Since I have an older Fiskars Fuse machine with a black shim mat, I added a piece of white card stock on top the panel and die so that the mat did not leave any unwanted color or marks.  As a result, the die cuts that were not covered by the die look frosted.  It looks fantastic!

I added the panel to a Whip Cream card base and added a few Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins.
